Day 1: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru National Park |
Begin your adventure with an early morning departure from Nairobi as you drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley, stopping along the way for scenic viewpoints. Arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park, Kenya’s top destination for birdwatching safaris and rhino conservation.
Enjoy a game drive en route to your lodge, with the chance to spot Rothschild giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and the elusive leopard. After lunch and a short rest, head out again to explore the alkaline lake, often painted pink by flamingos. The park is also a key refuge for both white and black rhinos, offering some of the best rhino sightings in East Africa.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru – Lake Naivasha

Later, go on your first game drive across the vast plains of the Maasai Mara National Reserve—one of Africa’s most celebrated safari destinations. Expect close-up encounters with lions, cheetahs, elephants, and more. As the sun sets over the horizon, return to camp for dinner and a night under the African stars.

Day 4: Full-Day Safari in the Maasai Mara

Today is your ultimate wildlife safari day. Head out early for a full-day game drive with picnic lunch inside the park. The Maasai Mara is famed for its concentration of predators and the annual wildebeest migration between July and October.
Drive along the Mara River to look for crocodiles and hippos, and witness dramatic predator-prey interactions. Your expert guide will help you track the Big Five—lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinos. In the afternoon, you can also visit a traditional Maasai village to learn about their fascinating culture and customs.
Optional Extra: Hot air balloon safari over the Mara with champagne breakfast (book early due to limited slots).
