Detailed Itinerary
Pick up and Drive:
- Pick up from your city hotel in Nairobi and drive to Bomas of Kenya, located just 10 kilometers from the city center. The site consists of numerous homesteads portraying Kenya’s varied cultures in a traditional village lifestyle.
Cultural Show Experience:
- Enjoy a rich traditional music and dance show at Bomas of Kenya, featuring performances from various ethnic communities. The cultural center provides an immersive experience of Kenyan tribal groups’ lifestyle and traditions.
Performance Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Weekends and Public Holidays: 3:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.
Diverse Performances:
- Experience over 50 traditional dances, each representing different ethnic communities in Kenya. From Maasai Eunoto dance to Kikuyu Circumcision dance, Chuka drummers, Coastal Sengenya and Gonda dances, Swahili Taarab, Nubi Dholuka dance, and more, the performances showcase the country’s rich musical and dance traditions.
- On Thursday to Sunday, the shows also feature the impressive Mambo Jambo acrobats, displaying acrobatic feats such as balancing, rope skipping, juggling, fire limbo, and more.
